Chronicle: Movie review

I give Chronicle 7/10. Chronicle was filmed with the "found footage" look that I so very much hate. I think the movie could have been vastly improved if it would have been filmed in a more conventional style. The character arch is very predictable, but done well. I'ts almost like Carrie meets the X-men. The movies pacing was slow some of the times.  All in all its a fun movie I suppose I think the average movie goer will enjoy it.  Just fell a little short for me.

The Aldo Box

I posted a video to YouTube quite some time ago ( My Video ) and it got a nice response. Someone even started a reddit topic on it to try and figure out how I made what I made. It was a simple project really I made a "Hit Box" out of spare parts I had laying around and a shoe box.  I would really like to make a tutorial video for this project but I no longer have the spare parts I had. So eventually I need to buy more parts and try to get it done.

Last or first of many to come.

I'm thinking I might keep this blog going after our assignment is over with this week. I have a few hobbies I wouldn't mind documenting here. I'm also kind excited to come up with some kind of system to limit my computer use so I can get back to some of my other hobbies. This class was a pretty good experience and a good intro in to taking online classes.  I have signed up for 2 more online classes next semester.  CIS-68 and a History class. 

One more week to go

So far so good.  Still not satisfied with my quiz scores but their not terrible I suppose.  With the exception of the first one that I think most of us bombed.  The study guides were a tremendous help. I think right after this post I'm going to get started on next week's stuff.. well our last weeks worth of assignments rather.  On a side note having to write about 15 different YouTube videos this week was kinda rough, never been my favorite part of our assignments but at least I got it over with.

Whoops.

Must have gotten carried away with the holidays and all.  I'm glad our teacher sent us a reminder to continue our blogs. I'm disappointed with my quiz score I just got but ill just have to try harder I guess.  I took it so fast I was very confident in the answers.  Oh well. Looking forward to continuing our Access assignments.

Week 4: return of the youtube summery

I'm not a huge fan of the YouTube part of our assignments but this weeks wasn't so rough.  The video on Fiber Optic cable was pretty neat and informative.  Also I had never heard of WiMAX before that sounds like something we might be hearing about more in the future.

Week 3

Not much happened this week other then finishing up the Power Point section of our GO! Office book.  I have used Power Point before but it was nice to learn about some of the easy simple tweaks that can be made to improve a presentation.
